Sold Out Barrier Breaker: Exploring the Activism of Jackie Robinson

To celebrate Civics Week, join the Department of Social Studies and Civics for a very special professional learning at CITI FIELD on the life and activism of Barrier Breaker, Jackie Robinson.  This interactive workshop will allow participants to examine some of the Civics for All curricular resources including the brand-new comic Barrier Breaker #1!
The Department of Social Studies and Civics will model classroom strategies on using comics in the classroom and lessons on baseball history. Joining them will be Dr. Yohuru Williams and Michael Long, authors of the new Jackie Robinson biography, Call Him Jack and the Barrier Breaker comic.  All attendees will receive access to ready-to-go classroom materials, CTLE credit, and lunch.
