Upcoming Hidden Voices: African Diaspora

Celebrate Black History month by spending an exciting day exploring Voices of the African Diaspora: Culture, Community, Connection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Educators will delve into Hidden Voices: Stories of the African Diaspora, deepening their knowledge of figures who were absent from the traditional historical narrative. Participants will explore the newly renovated Arts of Africa exhibit in the Michael C. Rockefeller Wing. This full day session will connect the exhibit to the broader historical narrative and social studies curriculum. Participants will have the opportunity to explore resources for classroom integration and will leave with ready to use tools for instruction. (Please note this description has been updated)
