New and returning Seal of Civic Readiness (SCR) Schools, join the Department of Social Studies and Civics as we unpack the SCR Handbook. In this session we’ll have plenty of time to explore some of the more technical questions that often arise for School Committees, craft comprehensive visions for the Seal in our schools, develop sequences of point-bearing experiences, and make plans to begin or continue our Seal of Civic Readiness work. This full day, in-person professional learning session is intended for either members of Seal of Civic Readiness School Committees at new SCR Schools or members of existing committees that are new to the work. We look forward to seeing you all on September 16, 2025, from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the Tweed Courthouse (52 Chambers Street, New York, NY 10007).
