Join the NYC Social Studies and Civics Department along with the Fraunces Tavern Museum for a special professional learning opportunity. We will explore the exhibit Path to Liberty: The Emergence of a Nation, a chronological, multi-year, multi-installment, multi-gallery special exhibition featuring communications documents, artifacts, and works of art from the Museum’s permanent collection telling the history of the American Revolution from 1775 to 1783, with a distinctive focus on what occurred in New York and the surrounding areas. We will unpack connections to our Passport to Social Studies, Civics for All, and Hidden Voices resources for classroom use. The day will include a walking tour of the area as we will visit historic sites related to our America 250 theme: Voices Then/Voices Now.
Once your registration is confirmed you will receive a confirmation email.
