The Teaching History through Film and Media seminar series models strategies for teachers to use film and video effectively in the classroom. Teachers learn about periods and events in history through clips of movies as they develop strategies to use the films in their classrooms. This year we will be focusing on films and television that focus on civics themes. The purpose of this series is to:
- Develop lesson ideas and activities for use in New York City classrooms.
- Increase content knowledge of historical time periods and events.
- Gain access to resources available through the Paley Center for Media.
- Explore film resources for use in the classroom.
Once your registration is confirmed you will receive a confirmation email.
