Expired Unpacking Civics for All

Join the Department of Social Studies and Civics for a full day session serving as an introduction to the Civics for All Initiative for any teacher looking to utilize the NYCPS created civics education curricular resources. Participants will explore the program design and components of the Civics for All curriculum, as well as consider opportunities for successfully integrating Civics for All into their classroom and school culture. Participants will leave the session with ready to use resources and materials for civics and social studies instruction. The day will include a private tour of the Museum of the City of New York’s exhibit, “Activist NY” that explores social activism in NYC from the 17th century to today.

Breakfast will be offered at 8:30 and lunch will be served. As the museum is closed to the public on Tuesdays, enter at the 104th Street side entrance. Once your registration is confirmed you will receive a confirmation email.
