Upcoming Hidden Voices: Integrating LGBTQ+ Stories in your Classroom

The work of refining curriculum is never done. Finding the time to make meaningful space in your humanities curriculum for LGBTQ+ stories and voices can be a challenge, especially during the school year. Join historian Daniel Hurewitz, social studies education scholar Stacie Brensilver Berman, WNET, and the NYCDOE Department of Social Studies and Civics as we explore our Hidden Voices resources and dedicate time to making meaningful space in our curriculums. This full day, in-person workshop at WNET on May 23, 2024 from 9:00am to 3:00pm will include ample time to plan, process, and collaborate to build for our classrooms. Participants will receive copies of the Hidden Voices LGBTQ+ Resource Guide and Lesson Plans.

Once your registration is confirmed you will receive a confirmation email.

Target Audience NYCDOE Grades K through 12 Active Educators (Teachers, Instructional leads, Administrators)
